Every year, Elite Construction likes to donate to one of our favorite charities. The trouble is we can never decide which one to choose so we’re asking you to help. Vote for your favorite charity below. We’ll pick a winner on December 24th. The winner will be announced on our blog and social media channels.

Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter - The purpose of the all-volunteer Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is to raise charitable dollars in support of the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter and its mission. The Shelter is the county’s sole open-admission facility, offering protective custody, handling abuse cases, housing strays and surrenders, and even assuming guardianship of abandoned and maltreated farm animals.

Unchained - UnChained works with two vulnerable populations in Santa Cruz County: homeless dogs and underserved youth. UnChained offers innovative animal-assisted therapy in an 8-week Canines Teaching Compassion program (CTC) program for youth and dogs twice a week, teaching teens to train dogs in basic skills, positive socialization, and good manners. Our youth help place the dogs into adoptive homes after having achieved values of patience, respect and responsibility for themselves and others.

Teen Kitchen Project - Teen Kitchen Project’s (TKP) mission is to build healthy communities through food. TKP’s purpose is to address food and nutrition insecurity in Santa Cruz County by providing critically and chronically ill people with home-delivered, medically-tailored free or low-cost meals.

Housing Matters - Housing Matters partners with individuals and families to create pathways out of their homelessness into permanent housing. We hold firmly to a vision that homelessness in Santa Cruz County should be rare, brief, and non-recurring.
